OSCE Teenage CCB Overdose


An OSCE case where a consultant provides phone advice to a rural GP managing a 15-year-old girl who ingested sustained-release verapamil. Candidates must identify this as a high-risk “one pill can kill” ingestion, manage bradycardia and hypotension (calcium, fluids, adrenaline, HIET), and arrange urgent retrieval to a tertiary paediatric centre with toxicology support.
